LeBron James was really angry when the Los Angeles Lakers missed a great chance to win.
LeBron James Rants Against NBA’s Replay
He wasn’t just upset about losing a big lead or missing a crucial shot at the end. What really got to him was Jamal Murray making a last-second shot to win the game for the Denver Nuggets against the Lakers in Game 2 of their playoff series on Monday night.
James was really mad because of a call made during the second half of the game between Michael Porter Jr. and D’Angelo Russell. The NBA’s replay center in Secaucus, New Jersey, reversed a foul call against Porter, saying he barely touched Russell.
James doesn’t get why there’s confusion in the replay center. He thinks it’s obvious that D-Lo got hit in the face during the play. He’s puzzled why there’s a replay center if they can’t get these calls right. It’s frustrating for him.
After the Lakers blew a big lead against the Nuggets and lost their tenth game in a row to them, James seemed quieter than usual in his interview.
James had an opportunity to put the Lakers ahead by shooting a wide-open 3-pointer with about 16 seconds left in the game.
“James said, ‘I missed!’ He scored 26 points and helped make 12 assists.”

Porter got the ball after it bounced off the rim, and then Murray made the winning shot by shooting a fadeaway jump shot over Anthony Davis just before the game ended.
After the game, James got straight to the point.
— Denver lost because we couldn’t make our shots, even though we had good opportunities. The other team made theirs, and that’s why they won.
— Even though he struggled in the first game, Russell made seven 3-pointers in the next game. We always believed in him. D-Lo is always himself.
— Can the Lakers learn anything from this game for Game 3 in L.A.? Every game presents unique challenges.
— Losing in such a tough way really hurts. It’s a game that breaks your heart, and nobody wants to lose like that.
James got mad at the replay center. In the game, Murray got called for a foul on James, but then the Nuggets used the replay to change the call and take away the foul.
James talked about a game earlier on Monday where the New York Knicks won 104-101 against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Knicks made a big comeback in the last 30 seconds. They scored the winning 3-pointer with 13 seconds left, thanks to Donte DiVincenzo. This happened after they stole the ball from Tyrese Maxey. Joel Embiid asserted that Maxey was fouled and alleged that coach Nick Nurse and certain players attempted to call a timeout before the Knicks gained possession of the ball.
“What’s going on?” James asked after finishing his postgame interview.
