Someone passed away at Ohio Stadium on Sunday. They fell from the stands during Ohio State University’s graduation ceremony.
A university spokesperson named Ben Johnson didn’t have much more information. He mentioned that police and emergency responders are at the scene. The university will offer counseling and other help to those impacted, Johnson said.

According to someone who saw it happen and talked to the Columbus Dispatch, the person fell just as the last graduates were walking by. The people speaking at the ceremony didn’t mention what happened, as reported by the Dispatch.
According to Columbus police, WBNS TV said that the person was declared dead at 12:25 p.m. The ceremony was supposed to start at 12 p.m. and go on for two to three hours, as per OSU officials.
