The update, which started rolling out to users earlier this year, is now reaching a wider audience. Along with new icons, the update also changes the colour of shared links within the app from the traditional blue to green.
Meta previously announced that the updates are designed to provide a contemporary, fresh experience on WhatsApp, aiming to enhance accessibility and simplify usability.

The update is mandatory, and all users will be transitioned to the new, greener interface in due course.
