Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers today and thank them for their efforts leading to victory in the Lok Sabha elections. According to news agency ANI, the meeting will take place at the party headquarters in the national capital.

According to the agency, the Prime Minister will reach the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters at around 6:30 pm today. An unnamed BJP source told ANI that he will meet around 100-150 workers who worked tirelessly for three months and worked day and night to ensure the party’s victory.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party meeting was held in the national capital on July 2, after the BJP-led NDA secured a third consecutive term in the Lok Sabha elections.

The Bharatiya Janata Party won 240 seats in the 2024 general elections, 63 fewer than in 2019. The saffron party had to rely on its NDA alliance partners to reach the majority figure of 272 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha. In the stronghold state of Uttar Pradesh, the party’s count dropped to 33 seats from 62 in the last term. Uttar Pradesh sends 80 MPs to the Lok Sabha.
