Windows Glitch: BSOD Hits Global Users, Airlines, and Airports
Many Microsoft Windows 10 computers around the world are experiencing glitches, affecting hundreds of thousands of users. People on social media are sharing pictures of their screens showing a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). The issue is not only affecting office workers but also important places like airports, where services are being disrupted. Reports suggest that the glitch is possibly due to a recent update from CrowdStrike.
Many users on social media are sharing screenshots of the recovery page, which reads, “Windows did not load correctly.” Many major Indian airlines like Akasa Air and IndiGo are facing problems with their check-in systems. The issue is believed to be caused by a recent update from CrowdStrike. Microsoft has not yet responded to the situation.
CrowdStrike has informed its customers about the issue through a support note. The company said, “We are receiving multiple reports of Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors on Windows computers, affecting various sensor versions.” They have not yet provided any additional details.
Ryanair has warned of potential disruption to its flights on Friday, July 19, due to a disruption in global IT systems affecting several airlines. “We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this third-party IT issue. This problem is beyond Ryanair’s control and affects all airlines across the network,” the company said on its website.

Akasa Air in India has released an update about disruption to its services due to a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) problem from the CrowdStrike update. On X, the airline posted: “Due to infrastructure problems with our service provider, some of our online services, such as booking, check-in, and managing bookings, will be temporarily unavailable. We are currently using manual check-in and boarding processes at airports.”
According to a report by Guardian Australia, which was one of the first to report the issue due to it being out of office hours, a widespread outage has affected various businesses around the world. This includes banks, airlines, telecommunications companies, TV and radio broadcasters, and supermarkets. These businesses have been taken offline after seeing “Blue Screen of Death” error screens on Windows computers everywhere.
It appears that the recent Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) problems on Windows computers may be caused by an update from CrowdStrike, a U.S.-based cybersecurity company. The update is part of their Falcon software suite, which helps protect computers from cyber threats. This is why only Windows 10 computers with Falcon software are affected, not all Windows 10 PCs. A cybersecurity expert on Twitter has reported that “CrowdStrike Falcon agents are crashing and causing Blue Screen of Death boot loops on many devices. There are reports of widespread outages around the world.”
While IT teams, especially those at critical locations like airports, hospitals, and government offices, are busy dealing with the Windows 10 CrowdStrike Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), some office workers are finding a ray of hope. They are celebrating an unexpected early weekend and sharing their thoughts on social media. “CrowdStrike is giving us an early weekend by crashing half the world’s systems. Even ransomware is not this effective,” Gabriel tweeted on X.
