The upcoming release of the AI-enhanced Samsung Galaxy S24 is expected to result in a double-digit price decrease for several previous models in the UAE when it becomes available next week.
As of January 17, the Samsung Galaxy S24 model has been globally launched, and pre-orders for three variants are now open for shoppers in the UAE.

UAE retailers anticipate a price decline ranging from 10 to 38 percent for older Galaxy models, including the Samsung Galaxy S23. The S24 devices are expected to be available to customers from January 31, according to major retailers.
How much drop the Samsung Galaxy S24 Price?
Vikas Chadha, CEO of Jumbo Group, foresees the S23 series being offered at a discounted rate of 35-38 percent compared to its launch prices, following the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S24 to the UAE market next week.
He mentioned that competitors could react by adjusting prices for their flagship or mid-range models to stay competitive in response to the changes in the Samsung Galaxy lineup.
The CEO of Sharaf DG, Nilesh Khalkho, believes that the previous Galaxy S series model will cost between Dh300 and Dh400 less. He made it clear that the introduction of the new S series will have a particular impact on the cost of the S23, which is its predecessor.
ECity, the electronics retailer, foresees a potential price reduction of up to 10 percent in previous models as a result of the upcoming S24 launch.
Following the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S24, Rajat Asthana, COO of Eros Group, envisions an expected decline of around 10 percent for previous models in the Galaxy S series.
“The introduction of new models in the Galaxy S series is anticipated to have a limited impact on the prices of other Samsung series phones.
The S series maintains a dedicated customer base, and the arrival of new models is unlikely to significantly alter pricing dynamics in other series,” he explained.
Is Samsung Galaxy S24 overpriced?
Base models, depending on their storage capacity, are priced between Dh3,199 and Dh3,499. The Plus variant falls in the range of Dh3,899 to Dh4,399, and the Ultra is set to cost between Dh5,099 and Dh6,599.
Vikas Chadha noted that the S24 Series is priced slightly higher than the S23 Series, launched around the same time last year. He attributed this increase to the incorporation of generative artificial intelligence features known as Galaxy AI.
Nilesh Khalkho mentioned that the S24 is competitively priced considering the distinctive and advanced specifications it offers. He highlighted that it is the first AI-enabled smartphone to be launched.
Asthana observes that, taking into account its features and comparing it with competitors, the Galaxy S24 is highly competitively priced in the UAE market.
