Wide receiver Zay Flowers and safety Kyle Hamilton will miss important games for the Steelers, but there is no playoff meaning for the Ravens, as they have already clinched the top seed.

Flowers (calf) was questionable, and Hamilton (knee), who also missed last week’s game against Miami, was questionable after two limited practices this week.

The hope is that both players will get enough time to recover before the Ravens’ divisional playoff opener in two weeks.

As a precaution, the Ravens opted to rest quarterback Lamar Jackson, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and guard Kevin Zeitler. Additionally, cornerback Marlon Humphrey (calf) was ruled out Thursday.

The Ravens’ only inactive player is linebacker Malik Harrison due to a groin injury.

Cornerbacks Brandon Stephens (ankle), Ronald Darby (illness), and Arthur Maulet (hip), along with wide receiver Tylan Wallace (knee), were unsure whether to play but will be activated.

With Jackson sidelined, Tyler Huntley has received the starting nod, and both backup quarterbacks, Josh Johnson and rookie Malik Cunningham are active. Cunningham may also see action as a wide receiver.

With Flowers and Beckham sidelined Wallace has taken on a more important offensive role. The primary wide receivers will be Rashod Bateman, Nelson Agholor, and Wallace.

The extent of the usual starters’ participation is uncertain against the Steelers on a cold and rainy day at M&T Bank Stadium. While the Ravens’ goal is to defeat their rivals, which could potentially impact playoff hopes, they also prioritize entering the playoffs with optimal health.

Pro Bowl safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee) will be absent for the Steelers, while linebacker Elandon Roberts (pectoral) will be available.
