Several famous golfers will be playing in the first round of the 106th PGA Championship in Louisville.
2024 PGA Championship Tee Times and Pairings
The 2024 PGA Championship is here, and the tee times for the first day at Valhalla Golf Club are set. This is the second major tournament of the season, and you can find out when your favorite golfers will be playing. Due to weather, the afternoon session’s tee times have been delayed by a few minutes. You can follow the live leaderboard on weeklywakeup Sports all day Thursday for updates on scores, weather, highlights, and more.
The action starts early in Louisville with last year’s surprise star, Michael Block, teeing off at 7:15 a.m. ET, alongside Luke Donald and Shaun Micheel. After them, the big names begin their rounds on the 10th tee. Local favorite Justin Thomas plays at 7:53 a.m., joined by Masters runner-up Ludvig Ã…berg and Xander Schauffele, exciting the crowd. Following them at 8:04 a.m., a group of major champions including Tiger Woods, Adam Scott, and Keegan Bradley takes the course.
Right after Tiger Woods’ group, Rory McIlroy will start. The last two winners of the PGA Championship at Valhalla will be just 11 minutes apart for the first two days. Rory, the 2014 champion, tees off at 8:15 a.m. with Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose.
History is in the making a few groups later when five-time major winner and current champion Brooks Koepka starts his quest for a fourth PGA Championship. He’ll be playing alongside Max Homa and Jordan Spieth, who is still aiming to complete his career grand slam. They tee off on Thursday at 8:37 a.m.
The afternoon will also feature some top golfers playing together. At 2:13 p.m., World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will be paired with U.S. Wyndham Clark, winner of the Open, and Brian Harman, also an Open champion. They will start from the first tee.
Other notable afternoon groups include the two right before Scheffler. Collin Morikawa, Phil Mickelson, and Matt Fitzpatrick start at 1:51 p.m., and Rickie Fowler, Jon Rahm, and Cameron Young start at 2:02 p.m.
