St. Patrick’s Day 2024- The last time temperatures were lower than usual was on February 28th when the highest temperature reached was 33 degrees. Since then, for the following 17 days, temperatures have been higher than normal, sometimes even much higher. However, today marks the end of that trend as temperatures struggle to reach the 40-degree mark.
This morning is chilly with temperatures in the mid to upper 20s. When you consider the wind, it feels even colder, with wind chills in the teens everywhere. Expect the temperature to increase by about 10 degrees later today, but it will still be cool.
We might feel a bit chilly this afternoon for two reasons. First, clouds are coming, which will slow down how warm it gets, even though we’ll see mostly sunny skies later. Second, the winds from the northwest aren’t bringing any warm air, so that’s not going to help us warm up either.

St. Patrick’s Day Today, we’ve seen some flurries floating around since early on, and more are expected throughout the morning, possibly into the afternoon too.
Today, the wind might pick up, reaching speeds of around 40 mph in the afternoon. However, as the evening progresses into the night, the wind will gradually calm down. During this time, the sky will likely be mostly clear.
Tomorrow afternoon, the skies will be mostly sunny again. Temperatures will rise into the mid 40s to low 50s. The weather will keep getting warmer for one more day. Then, on Tuesday, which is the first day of spring, temperatures will be around 60 degrees.
St. Patrick’s Day- Get ready for some changes in Siouxland! The weather is going to be different. In the middle of the week, we’ll have highs in the low 50s, and by next week, they might drop to the low 40s. There’s also a chance of more rain and snow starting on Thursday and lasting into the weekend. So, stay prepared for some unsettled weather ahead!
