Robert De Niro argues with people
Robert De Niro- After a meeting with reporters outside the Manhattan court where Trump is being tried, De Niro got into a disagreement with a group of protesters. They called him names like “little punk” and said they didn’t like his movies.
President Joe Biden’s team spoke to reporters outside a courtroom in Manhattan, where Donald Trump is facing trial for paying hush money. Actor Robert De Niro and two Capitol officers, who protected the building during the Jan. 6, 2021, attack, joined them. They all cautioned against giving Trump another term as president.
“The Twin Towers fell nearby, leaving this area empty. But we promised not to let terrorists change how we live. I cherish this city and don’t want it harmed. Donald Trump, however, wants to harm not just the city, but the whole country, and even the world eventually,” De Niro explained.

But if Trump becomes president again, our freedoms are in danger. Our right to choose leaders in elections will be gone. If he wins, he won’t want to leave.”
After the press conference, De Niro got into an argument with some people who support Trump. They shouted that he’s not really famous, he’s only pretending to be, he’s being paid to support the Democratic National Committee, and his movies aren’t any good.
De Nro said, “You won’t scare us. That’s what Trump does. We’re going to stand up for ourselves. We’re trying to be polite, but you’re acting like gangsters.”
“Hey, you’re done for!” yelled a protester.
The Trump team held a press conference making fun of Biden’s choice to work with De Niro. Their spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, criticized De Niro and other wealthy Hollywood actors, saying they don’t understand the real issues regular people are dealing with in cities and across the country.
“Biden’s best move is to bring in an old actor,” said Jason Miller, a senior advisor for Trump’s campaign.
On Friday, the Biden team put out a new commercial with De Niro, known for his role in “Killers of the Flower Moon,” which got him an Oscar nomination this year. It’s going to show up on TV and online in key states where the election is close.
During the fight on Tuesday, someone in the crowd who really likes De Nir shouted, “You were great in ‘Taxi Driver’!”
