Mandisa, Christian Singer Passes Away at 47
Mandisa was found dead at her home yesterday. Her representative told The Tennessean that they don’t know why she died or have any more details yet. They’re asking for prayers for her family and close friends during this really hard time.
K-Love, the Christian radio network, also showed appreciation for the gospel and contemporary Christian singer.
“Mandisa really loved Jesus, and she always talked about Him whenever she could. David Pierce, who works at K-Love, said she had a big heart and was very kind. Even though she had a big smile and a powerful voice, her heart was even bigger. Mandisa went through some tough times, and she wasn’t afraid to tell us about them. This helped us feel like we could talk about our own problems too. Now, Mandisa isn’t struggling anymore. She’s with God, the one she sang about. We feel sad that she’s gone, but we know she’s in a good place. Let’s all pray for Mandisa’s family and friends.”
The singer named Mandisa Lynn Hundley auditioned for “American Idol” in 2005, which was Season 5 of the show. She became popular on the show when it aired in 2006.
