Chinese tech company OnePlus is going to expand its lineup with a new variant. The company has announced the launch of the OnePlus Open Apex Edition, which features an attractive crimson shadow color. In a recent blog post, OnePlus said that this attractive foldable phone will launch on August 7. This new release is expected to garner a lot of attention, strengthening OnePlus’ position in the competitive foldable smartphone market.

The OnePlus Open Apex Edition offers improved storage, advanced AI image editing features, and new security enhancements. These improvements are aimed at providing a great user experience reflecting OnePlus’ ‘Never Settle’ philosophy.

One Plus Open Apex Edition: Stunning Foldable Phone with Cutting-Edge Features

Inspired by the famous Hasselblad 503CW 60 Years Victor Red Edition, the Apex Edition features a high-quality vegan leather back with a diamond-like pattern and bright orange accents on the alert slider. This design gives it a timeless and luxurious look. The price of this smartphone has not been announced yet.

The OnePlus Open Apex Edition is both lightweight and compact. It is 153.4 mm tall. When you open it, its width is 143.1 mm, and when you fold it, it reduces to 73.3 mm. The thickness depends on the color. The Emerald Dusk model is 5.8 mm thick when opened and 11.7 mm thick when folded. The Voyager Black model is 5.9 mm thick when opened and 11.9 mm thick when folded.

The OnePlus Open Apex Edition has a 7.82-inch Flexi-Fluid AMOLED main display with a maximum brightness of up to 2800 nits. The cover display is 6.31 inches, with a resolution of 2K and 431 ppi. Both screens have a 120Hz refresh rate.

For photography enthusiasts, the OnePlus Open Apex Edition has great cameras. It has a 48MP main camera with a Sony LYT-T808 CMOS sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS). There’s also a 64MP telephoto camera and a 48MP ultra-wide camera, both capable of recording 4K videos at 60 FPS. For selfies, there’s a 20MP main camera and an additional 32MP lens.

The phone runs on the new OxygenOS 13.2, which is based on Android 13 and has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. OnePlus promises four years of major Android updates and five years of security updates, ensuring long-term software support.

The device packs a 4,805mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. OnePlus says it can go from 1% to 100% in about 42 minutes, offering more than a day of usage on a single charge.

With its impressive features and thoughtfully crafted design, OnePlus stands out in the open foldable smartphone market.
