Photos Revealed of Apple iPhone 16 Pro
As Apple’s new iPhone 16 series launch nears, new images from the iFab Four have been released, revealing key design changes to the upcoming iOS-powered phones.
Long-time Apple leaker Sonny Dixon has shared exclusive images showing off four new iPhones. These images reveal new designs, elements, and features. Apple is expected to launch the iPhones in early September, but thanks to Dixon we can now see several new hardware features.
Dixon’s models are late-stage dummy samples, typically used for product photos and given to third-party accessory makers to test how well their products fit and work with Apple’s final design. These models are delivered without internal circuitry and software.
First up are the new iPhone 16 Pro models, which come in three colors. These are similar to last year’s options: White Titanium, Black Titanium, and Natural Titanium. In 2023, there was also a Blue Titanium option, which is not shown in the images shared by Dixon. However, new colors are also likely to be introduced to attract customers who want a stylish option.

The iPhone 16 comes in the usual white and black, as well as new colors like pink, blue, and green. These colors are dark but have a lighter tone.
Apple has changed the camera lens arrangement for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. They have swapped the ultrawide and telephoto lenses so that you can record stereoscopic videos while holding the phone in landscape mode.
These videos can then be viewed on Apple Vision Pro’s spatial video playback system, which provides a 3D immersive experience. This camera layout continues in the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, maintaining the connection between iOS and visionOS.
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus now have their lenses arranged vertically. This new layout enables them to record spatial videos, making them compatible with the Vision Pro headset.

The new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro have a capture button on their side, adding to the features introduced with last year’s iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. This new button will work as a two-stage shutter, allowing you to lock focus before taking a photo. We’ll have to wait for the final software to see how this will work.
The iPhone 16 will include an action button, which was not present in last year’s iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models.
The image does not show the new software that will come with iOS 18. Developer previews are available now, so you can check out Apple’s plans for iOS 18. This includes the early stages of generative AI and how it will be used on the iPhone.
Apple usually introduces the new iPhone on the second Tuesday of September. This year, the likely launch date will be Tuesday, September 10.
